Plethon Guesthouse

Homely, quiet, interesting and inviting, this little guest house is a well-kept secret . Set in the middle of the beautiful 15-hectare orange grove, in the valley of mount Taygetus, the guest house is a wonderfully quiet, agro-tourist retreat, with a twist of urban architecture. Four elegant en suite- bedrooms, a lovely garden, and a relaxed dining area comprise this small warm and friendly accommodation. Most of it's furniture has been in the family for years and has been cleverly recycled to accommodate rural living. Old woollen jumpers have been skilfully woven into carpets and antique teapots transformed into unique kitchen lampshades. Athenian owners Despoina and Constantine have partly relocated here to enjoy a simpler and healthier outdoors life with their two daughters and then also decided to share their new lifestyle with others.

The four independent houses are tastefully decorated with warm colours, stylish paintings and recycled furniture. The ground floor, which opens onto the garden, has a lounging area with lush cushions where one can enjoy a wide variety of books from the small library situated over the fireplace. Each house is also equipped with a small kitchenette for preparing quick snacks from fresh produce off the garden, if one feels like preparing a simple meal. The top floor is perfect to snuggle up and “cocoon” in bed with a good book on a cold winter day and enjoy the view of the mountains, often covered in snow until the early spring months. There is also a cosy living/dining room where week enders enjoy as well as the great breakfast, home cooked meals and relax by the fire. A homely inviting family guest house situated in the middle of the central Peloponnese.
